Variable Speed Technology
The variable speed technology takes full advantage of its modern diesel engine designed to run at lower speeds and fulfil current emission standards. The speed of the engine is regulated and adjusted according to the electrical load which makes it economical to run.
Currently most generators on the market operate with a fixed speed of 1500 or 3000 RPM for 50 Hz (alternatively with 1800 or 3600 RPM for the 60Hz market). High engine speed means higher exhaust emissions. Even when operating with low loads, these are required to operate at higher speeds. This has always been a big concern with regard to the engine lifespan, glassing of the cylinders and high oil consumption.
For this reason engine manufacturers have started to reduce the engine speed on several engines to meet the new emission standards. The Panda 6000i is built with a diesel engine which fulfils current emission standards.
The new Panda 6000i
The innovative new Fischer Panda 6000i Generator uses variable speed technology which allows the speed of the engine to be regulated and adjusted according to the electrical load that is connected. The high starting performance for inductive load makes the generator ideal for starting an air conditioning unit or even running a diving compressor. The clean sinus wave form with its accurate voltage and frequency regulation ensures that a stabile and efficient supply of power is available for sensitive electronic devices.
A new control panel and engine controller have been designed by Fischer Panda for this generator technology. The control panel allows the generator to be operated from the cabin and displays current status and technical data. The new panel is compact so it can be installed on small dashboards. The low weight and compact size allows the generator to be installed in very tight spaces.
